Root Cause Analysis
 
Root cause analysis is the process of collecting maintenance and repair data and then analyzing the data for underlying failure causes.

The root cause analysis process identifies which particular failures occur most often or cause the highest repair costs. In addition, the analysis can identify No Fault Found (NFF) conditions which result in items being returned to service without correcting the basic problem.

TQS has experience in applying root cause analysis to diverse systems such as:

  • F-16 avionics Line Replaceable Units (LRU)
  • F-16 avionics Shop Replaceable Units (SRU)
  • F-16 SRU piece parts
  • T-38 gear box assemblies
  • B-52 electronic flight control units

    • Through over ten years of experience on the Falcon Flex project, TQS has the tools and experience to apply root cause analysis to numerous systems.

    Through the use of our DRILS maintenance data collection and analysis system, root cause results can be quickly and accurately achieved.
