TQS was awarded an updated contract to perform Weapons System Flexible Sustainment. The new contract, awarded as a Design Engineering Support Program II (DESP II) task order calls for an expansion of the previous effort know as Falcon Flex. The new contract has a one year period of performance with two one-year options. Under the new contract TQS and subcontractor ARINC will support all weapons systems managed by the 416th Supply Chain Management Squadron at Hill AFB including the F-16, A-10, T-38. The contract calls for engineering services aimed at reducing the cost of maintaining the weapons system by performing root cause failure analyses of high cost avionics and electromechanical systems. Key to the analyses is accurate maintenance repair data collected by the Defense Repair Information Logistics System (DRILS), another TQS product.
