The ASM is designed to assist and guide IPTs through the acquisition process focusing on acquisition related documents. By answering three questions, the ASM is able to identify the required documents for that acquisition type. Answers to more detailed questions are captured in a database as data, and propagated to the document template data elements. ASM then automatically generates the initial draft of each document and provides version control for further edits until the documents are complete.
